Where we operate
WSF supports the growth of sporting and movement opportunities in the London Borough of Brent by funding local clubs and organisations. We also invest in projects across London and beyond to increase participation among underrepresented groups in physical activity.
Borough of Brent
Located in the heart of the vibrant London Borough of Brent, Wembley Stadium stands as a symbol of the area's dynamism. While facing challenges such as deprivation and limited access to high-quality sports facilities, Brent possesses a rich tapestry of smaller, community-led sports clubs. WSF proudly supports these clubs, empowering them to provide diverse and inclusive sporting opportunities for all residents. By investing in both operational needs and essential infrastructure, we contribute to a healthier and more active future for the borough.
Nationwide
WSF previously partnered with the EFL Trust and over 40 EFL clubs to deliver a wide-reaching program of disability football initiatives across England. The program empowered local clubs to address unique needs within their communities, providing opportunities for individuals with diverse disabilities, including wheelchair users, those living with mental health challenges, and veterans. Through the collaborative effort, an estimated 15,000 individuals benefited, experiencing significant improvements in self-confidence, personal skills, and footballing abilities.
